Truth and Tales is an interactive story app for young children. The stories are based on Teaching Stories, millennia-old tales from many cultures. Certain elements of these stories increase children’s neuroplasticity and develop abilities known as essential skills, which are important for cognition and for the executive and the social-emotional functions. For this reason, the stories from Truth and Tales improve attention, empathy and negotiation skills, while also preparing for the unexpected and promoting self-regulation and self-knowledge. The app’s karaoke feature also supports children in the literacy process. With this tool, children can follow the written words as they are narrated out loud. We believe that Truth and Tales can help children develop not only their reading skills and their minds but also their body as a whole.
