- There are several identifiable problems that need immediate attention which you’ve highlighted(crime, education, employment etc). But before we spend time diving deeper into each, which I believe, are merely consequences and endpoints, let’s shift focus and take a more holistic outlook, to immediately recognize the much larger issue, the misuse of human and natural resources and the lack of economic diversity that exist in Belize. It is plausible and one can argue that it is the primary cause of Belize’s current challenges. More than just a hypothesis, let’s explore crime. The inhumane behavioral patterns and the frequency of which a select group of individuals perform these acts of violence have drastically altered the normal way of life for the average Belizean citizen. Safety and security amongst a people are critical to maintaining peace of mind within a society. Timing is crucial, if a proper solution is not put into effect, there is potential for the violence to be normalized and the likelihood to rectify diminishes significantly. Now, one may ask, or you yourself may have already explored, How does crime and the economy relate? Your research may have essentially focused on identifying whether crime and violence had any impact on growth via changes like the reduction of labor supply or increasing capital cost. Which is valid and a natural thought but I think the less explored and more telling research would be the one that focuses on how economic factors are allocated. Viridian Rios, Harvard research fellow, found that an increase in violent crimes and criminal presence reduces economic diversification and diminish economic complexity. Excerpt:“This paper shows that increases in violent crime reduce the number of sectors that operate in an area, limiting economic diversification, increasing market concentration, and diminishing economic complexity. Our more conservative specification, which instruments homicide rates with its lag, shows that increases of 22.5% in the rate of homicides reduces by one the number of different sectors that produce in an area. Our more innovative specification, which relies on a big data exercise of text analysis to identify where criminal organizations operate, shows that increases of 9.8% in criminal presence is enough to eliminate one economic sector”The economy of Belize is already small and limited. InnoNatively's approach is innovatively disruptive and directly addresses the problem with pin point accuracy.

- InnoNatively is an innovation resource repository with services that include ideas, tools, community, mentorship, funding and a sales channel. It offers an end to end solution development and delivery mechanism. The collection of services following a designed process format will facilitate the launch of technology-oriented startups in Belize that solves a local problem and are entirely self-sustaining. Using some of the world’s most innovative technology available today but designed and developed with solely in country resources. All local, built for the country by its own people, from idea to minimum viable product through funding and incubation to growth and maturity. Upon proper implementation and execution, it produces:i. Viable business entities that are driven by technology, ii. Solutions for real local problems that were validated and vetted iii. A dynamic job board that provides opportunities for the skilled and highly trained to actively work in a field pertaining to their area of expertiseiv. Entrepreneurship opportunities.v. Increases cash flow and revenue generation within the various social segments vi. A blueprint for startup incubation and acceleration that is repeatable and scalable. vii. A catalyst for the growth and diversity of the economy in turn has significant adverse effects of crime, unemployment, poverty etc.

- The benefit is across the entire social structure and class. The instability that exist within our community is a direct reflection of how disjointed it is. We have historically been conditioned to function in isolation largely because rarely has the desired objective of our citizens been universal. Because of the siloed approach, we don’t have common interest in seeing a better community because “it doesn’t directly affect me, it is their problem and not mine”. A unified system with vested mutual interest from each segment of society will create one more conducive to collaboration, better communication and overall change.i. Through crowdsourcing of challenges, the disenfranchised, poor, working class now have a channel to be heard. Majority of the problems are directly impacting them and their communities it is imperative that we provide a mechanism for them to be represented. Only then will the necessary requirements gathering be done which increases the likelihood that the developed solution will meet their needs.ii. A youth population benefiting from the collective efforts of the adults within the community who are working in unison to design and deploy targeted initiatives intended to advocate for their well-being. iii. A community and environment for the country’s innovators and thought leaders to be able to ideate freely and brainstorm creative ways to solve real world problems the country faces. iv. Unemployment/misemployment, has prevented many of our skilled citizens with advanced degrees and certificates to be employed in positions where those skills are unutilized. They are forced to assume any employment because of the limited or unavailability of jobs relating to their area of expertise. InnoNatively offers employment and creates new business/roles based entirely on the country's need and the demand. v. Through Equity Crowdfunding, InnoNatively creates a new capital market that will transform our upper and middle class citizens into active investors and provide alternate revenue streams. Rather than investing internationally you invest in a local company built to solve a problem in your own community vi. InnoNatively supplements some of the Government’s major initiatives including protecting and providing for the citizens and investing in their talent. Privatization will eliminate political interference, increase efficiency, open up additional investment opportunities. vii. Economy spike with the influx of new business and revenue

- i. Access to the job board and solution submission section will require a monthly membership.ii. Online Ad sales, offering targeted ad space based on relevancyiii. Equity crowdfunding will generate capital for business operation and startup funding. Will offer varying levels of contributions but have a minimum requirement based on investment amount and entity type.iv. Revenue generated from startup and developed solution will be re-invested into Innonatively to help fund future startups. It’ll be a continuous cycle profit an investment.
