"Luz Para Mi Pueblo" is a project whose purpose is to bring small solar plants to gardens on houses specially for those who don't have renewable energy at home. We first created a food sale to earn money. Using the money from the sale we buy the materials needed to create small solar plants. Then, we build the solar "flower" in a unique yet efficient way and sell them to people so they can decorate their houses in a non-harmful for the environment way. An educational program will be given to families in our school as part of the selling effort. It will consist of a short conference given by the Refeel company and a brochure including use instructions of the solar panels and a clear description of all the benefits and potential savings. With the money earned we will build and distribute the solar flowers to low income families. Refeel has supported and motivated us to create a more sustainable project that we believe should be chosen to represent Costa Rica's improved way of living.
