Foresta is a decentralized conservation fund for generating yield and ROI from international carbon markets by creating shared natural reserve property models on ecologically threatened land. Our platform hosts seed rounds to purchase land, for then creating and certifying natural reserves that comply with the best-in-class carbon market protocols and standards. In this way, by providing financial and environmental results we will attract ecologically-minded individuals as much as financially motivated investors. Apart from the DeFi focus of the project on pooling funds, tokenizing natural reserves and generating yield, Foresta uses machine learning prediction and control algorithms, to develop a new industry verification standard that lowers entry barriers to the certification needed to issue carbon credits. Foresta as a project focuses on reducing deforestation, protecting threatened ecosystems and improving livelihoods by combining decentralized and sustainable finance.
